Hilary Gerrans

An introduction

Having worked in change management for the University of Nottingham and within the NHS, supporting organisations and teams through transition and uncertainty I now enjoy working with individuals considering or experiencing change in any aspect of their lives. During my professional career I have experienced both voluntary and mandatory redundancy myself - moments that required reflection and a willingness to reimagine what might come next.

At the same time, I raised three daughters as a single parent and am now a grandmother which keeps me busy and closely connected to the rhythms of family life.
After stepping away from full-time employment a few years ago, I went solo backpacking through France and Spain, taking much needed time to reset before establishing my coaching practice.

I am also a landscape artist. Moving from private sketches of the Peak District to sharing and selling larger-scale work was a significant personal shift - one that continues to inform how I support others stepping into new chapters with courage and creativity.

What I offer

I offer coaching for those navigating redundancy, retirement, reinvention and new horizons.

Our sessions provide space to help you consider what feels ready to change and what might be emerging. My approach is calm, spacious and gently enquiring - encouraging clarity without pressure.

I also work with individuals who identify as neurodiverse, or who are exploring this - adapting sessions to meet different processing styles and needs. This may include alternative formats such as outdoor walking sessions or creative approaches.

Creative exploration can be woven into coaching where helpful, offering fresh perspective and new ways of thinking when words alone feel limiting.
